Super-Dog Pet Food Company’s History
Super-Dog has been a family business for over 35 years. The company was founded by Bob and Gloria Schober. 
The business began in the Schobers’ garage in 1975 where they processed meat and made personal deliveries to every customer.
In just a few short years the business grew until, in 1979 Bob moved the business to a small building in Leola. After years of continual development the company’s growth required a much larger facility. Eventually the company found its way to its current headquarters in Leola, PA, along with its Taunton, Massachusetts distribution facility, servicing the New England Market.
The company now operates under its second generation of ownership. Fred Schober is now continuing to build the company with the same spirit of quality and service as his father Bob.

Today Super-Dog’s facility spans over 200,000 square feet in two locations and includes a staff of 140 employees. 
Super-Dogs market now encompasses the area from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to Maine, excluding New York.
Throughout all of our many changes and years of growth Super-Dog has held its original mission statement:

This philosophy has driven the company into being one of the largest wholesale distributors on the east coast.
We are continually expanding our assortment of all-natural, holistic & organic premium pet products. Our buyers are constantly sourcing upscale boutique product lines that will help our independent customers meet the ever growing trends. Our focus will remain on being one of the premier distributors of companion animal products.
To this day we remain very cost conscious so that we can in turn provide our customers, vendors and employees with services unequaled by businesses of similar size.
